Footpaths In Marldon
Footpath 6 is a public right of way which runs between Smallwell Lane (adjacent ‘Burrow Orchard’) and a point on a far corner of the first field where the path leaves the Parish of Marldon; beyond the boundary the path continues in the direction of Berry Pomeroy. Footpath 6 is roughly 320M long. The path can be identified by a signpost at the Smallwell Lane end and by way marks along the two edges of the field. This field can sometimes have livestock in it. Steps and a gate assist the walker to climb the hedge at the Smallwell Lane end and a kissing gate marks the boundary at the other. Walking surfaces are unmade and can be particularly soggy in bad weather.
