Footpath 1 is a public right of way which runs between Compton (near the old bus bay) and Moles Lane (near the windmill through West End Nursery) and is roughly 1020M long. The path can be identified by a signpost at either end and by way marks throughout its length. The path has five stiles (including an old stone stile) and there is a steep section at the Compton end; the remainder is uneven but not strenuous. The surface of the path is unmade throughout its length however and the steep section can be slippery in bad weather. On occasions walkers may come across farming livestock loose in the fields.
