Footpath 3

Footpath 3 is a public right of way which runs across the top of the Village owned Tor Field play park between Church Hill (opposite Marldon Church) and Ipplepen Road (adjacent ‘Torfield House’) and is approximately 190M long. The path can be identified by a signpost at either end and by a well-defined tarmac surface. There is a gate at both ends and a set of steps at the Church Hill end. Although the path has a short and steep incline at the Church Hill end the remainder of the path is level.

Footpath 4

Footpath 4 is a public right of way which runs between Village Road (adjacent ‘Oak Cottage’) and Ipplepen Road (adjacent ‘Torfield House’) and is approximately 110M long. The path can be identified by a signpost at either end. There is a kissing gate at the Ipplepen Road end and an awkward stone stile at the other (fast moving traffic is a hazard here and extra care must be taken when using this stile – a set of steps located 50M further up Village Road is an alternative option). The path of grassy turf across Tor Field play park is otherwise undefined but can be considered to run directly between the signposts. The route slopes steeply towards the Village Road end.
