Smallwell Lane (which extends into a much longer highway) is a public right of way (Unclassified Road 6) which runs between Furzegood (at its junction with Moorview End) and its junction with Farthing Lane (opposite the entrance gates to the SWW ‘Farthings Cross’ pumping station). The route is roughly 200M long and can be identified by a signpost at either end. The route slopes gently down towards Farthing Lane; its surface is stony and deeply rutted in places.
