OCTOBER 2022

I have to start this month’s article by firstly mentioning the passing of our Queen Elizabeth ll and the proclamation of King Charles lll. Such a sad day that we all knew would have to happen, but we all hoped it never would.

Obviously our Group open meeting and AGM which was to be held on Friday 9th September had to be cancelled, and I apologise to anyone who turned up at the Village Hall on the night, we did try to publicise the cancellation as much as possible.
Our Speaker for the night was to have been the much sought after Simon Dell and although we have managed to rearrange our AGM for October, (thanks to the Organ Club), Simon was not available on any dates that suited us .. so he is now rebooked for our 2023 AGM on September 8th with the same talkentitled “The Fair Arm Of The Law

Our AGM for this year will now take place on Friday October 7th at 7.00pm when our guest speaker will now be local artist Debbie Flack with an illustrated talk entitled ‘Lost Landscapes Recreated’.

Debbie Flack

This will give all existing members the chance to renew their memberships with us at the new price of just £10.

Finally, don’t forget to buy your tickets for the Christmas Event on Friday 2nd December. At just £5 it promises to be a jolly evening’s entertainment, tickets are available to buy now until 25th Nov. These are available to purchase along with your membership  from John’s card shop and at our AGM.

Stay safe everyone.
