Our next History Group open Social Evening will take place on Friday 10th June at 7:30pm in the main hall and will be a talk with illustrations by David Lemon, called “Walking the Zambezi”.

It’s incredible to think that I first booked this talk in my role as Secretary back in March 2020, but it was then cancelled and put back due to Covid, which proved especially sad as the topic was one chosen by our late Chairman Tony as he specifically wanted this talk in our diary – I daresay he will still enjoy it from above. Since then I have been ‘elevated’ to Chairman whilst my wife has taken over the bookings as Secretary, so far they have all fallen into place from Covid rollovers.
Please do come along and support us, entrance is free to members and just £2.00 for non-members, with tea/coffee included.
With all the Covid restriction now having been removed, this is an ideal chance to catch up with friends and acquaintances.
I’m sorry that this is another short article from me, if the Editor had not chased me up on the phone there might well have not been one at all!
I have made a note to myself: Must do better next time!, but there is nothing much to report back to you on at the moment, maybe there will be something exciting happening next month.
