March 1st saw local resident Paul Hawthorne give our members and guests an interesting, illustrated talk on Paignton Picture House, past and present.
Paul is Chair of the Paignton Picture HouseTrust and his knowledge and dedication to the cause of restoring this old building was obvious for all to see and hear.
I am sure the evening brought back some happy memories for many and we will all be very keen to visit the restored building in 2025 to see what the final colour of the foyer will be – and hopefully to enjoy some ‘movies’ once again whilst sat on the refurbished seats whilst munching our popcorn!
Our next open meeting is in June and this once again promises to be one not to be missed!
